The vineyard of origin is called “Tagghia Via,” and it is a 100% Nero d’Avola. The vines have an average age of 18 years, and the wine can easily be cellared for over 10 years. It undergoes initial maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 34 days, followed by 50% aging in stainless steel and 50% in large barrels for 6 months. Further refinement takes place in the bottle for 2 months. The wine is unfiltered. It is fresh, lively, brackish, and drinkable, as a true and pure Nero d’Avola should be. Coming from the upper part of the best vineyard for this grape variety, it is a wine with a genuine and original profile.
