Ciro Picariello, a dynamic producer from Summonte, a town in the province of Avellino, belongs to the select group of winemakers who have literally revolutionized the traditional image of Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo, thanks to wines that are impeccable in elegance and finesse, expressive, and highly distinctive.
We offer you Fiano di Avellino Dop: the grapes are hand-harvested and undergo strict selection in the cellar, where they are directly pressed. The color is straw yellow, with a typical, persistent, and intense nose featuring smoky notes, hay, white flowers, and flint. Powerful and mineral. A fresh wine with pleasant acidity.
Spumante. Brut del Contadino. The Fiano destined for the production of Brut Contadino is harvested slightly early to preserve the crisp fruit and maintain its pleasant acidity. The secondary fermentation in the bottle lasts 24 months. Disgorging is performed to expel the yeast, and the wine is aged for an additional 6 months in the bottle. Fine perlage, pronounced acidic and mineral vein, and an evolving nose that starts to reveal hints of hydrocarbons. Complex and intense, with aromas of bread crust, white-fleshed fruit, and mineral notes. On the palate, it is elegant, fresh, and very persistent. A perfect balance between freshness, structure, and good carbonation.
