Founded in 1974 in the medieval village of Greve in Chianti, Querciabella incorporates an innovative approach in the production of wine in a translation context. The Tuscan estate has established itself over the years as a reference point for biodynamic viticulture. The owner of Querciabella Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni ,vegetarian and animal rights activist, he was responsible for the conversion of the estate to organic viticulture in 1998 and since 2000 he introduced a series of rigorous biodynamic practices. The grapes for Chianti are carefully selected in the vineyard and harvested by hand. At the end, the best lots are assembled and bottled, before resting another three months in the bottle. No animal derivatives are used during production.
