“Granato is the name of a Teroldego with a particular concentration and density that has its roots in the stones of three vineyards in Campo Rotaliano.
Teroldego is a territorial and emblematic red wine that authentically embodies the craftsmanship of winemaking in Trentino. Elisabetta Foradori is one of the iconic figures in the world of wine who, over the years, has fought for the revaluation of this historic grape variety. Her journey began in 1984 with the management of her family’s vineyards and in 2004 led her to opt for a definitive conversion to biodynamics in order to preserve the vitality of the soil and its fruits. Local varieties are naturally privileged, to the point that Teroldego, Nosiola, and Incrocio Manzoni reach excellent expressive heights, while previously planted international varieties have been abandoned in favor of the former.
Teroldego Foradori is made from a pure expression of the homonymous grape variety, with vineyards located in Mezzolombardo, in the Piana Rotaliana. Biodynamic principles are followed in the vineyard, so no chemical substances are used, only copper, sulfur, and preparations. In the cellar, all fermentations occur naturally, and in the case of this Teroldego, the wine ages for 20 months in wooden barrels before being bottled.
Teroldego wine pours into the glass with a typical dark and impenetrable ruby color. The nose is intense and dense, where the initial wine-like character gradually gives way to more defined notes of graphite, wild berries, and earth. The palate is full-bodied yet agile and lively, with an almost irresistible drinkability. It exhibits fruitiness, a saline extension, and a pleasant tannic friction – a complete and perfectly balanced liquid. An example of how agricultural gestures can rise to creativity.
It has an intense ruby red color, a fruity and floral aroma with hints of red flowers, violets, spices, and berries. On the palate, it is round, fresh, agile, and fruity, with a slightly almond-like finish.”
