“The production area is Benevento, located 400 meters above sea level, in a clay-limestone soil. Made from 100% Falanghina grape variety, it has a persistent and intense aroma, with hints of white flowers, white-fleshed fruit, and citrus. It is a fresh wine with lively acidity. Ciro Picariello, a volcanic producer from Summonte, a municipality in the province of Avellino, belongs to the very small group of winemakers who have truly revolutionized the traditional image of Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo, thanks to impeccable wines known for their elegance, finesse, expressiveness, and unique character. The grape variety used is 100% Falanghina. The vineyards are located in Benevento, at 400 meters above sea level. The soil is clay-limestone. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a strict selection in the cellar, where they are directly pressed. The must is chilled at 8°C for 24 hours. Fermentation is always controlled at around 12-13°C for 60 days. Aging takes place in stainless steel tanks with frequent batonnages for 5 months. The wine is further aged in the bottle for 2 months before being released on the market.”
